It's Dewey Decimal time for me

Well, that's it. I've really got to inventory and organize my books. I finally did it - I bought I book I already have, without realizing it. I now have 2 copies of "The Coming" by Joe Haldeman (though I can't find the 2nd copy!). But as I started reading it, it began to seem more and more familiar - what finally clinched it was a scene about a "taping" for a virtual-reality porn (in a University sex-research office, no less!). Naturally I remember the sex scene clearly :-) Anyway, then I knew, crap, I just read this less than a year ago!

One interesting thing about this book - it's been outdated already (written in 2000) - it's set in the year 2050 or so, but in this world, the state sodomy laws have gotten *tougher*, plus there's a federal one! Oops. Kinda like all those scifi books proclaiming the USSR has gotten meaner and bigger and more isolated (can we say "Berlin Wall" anyone?) written in the early 80's. Oh well, the visionaries can't get it right ALL the time...
