Can I cut down all the Oak trees, please?
Apr. 15th, 2003 07:46 pmUgh. Been intending to write up the weekend's fun for the past two days, but an effect of the weekend (getting out of allergen-ridden Austin for two days) has me feeling icky. While the oak pollen probably isn't much higher than last week, apparently being away from it for a bit made by body's allergy-defenses relax - and 'long about Georgetown on the way back, my head started feeling like it was being slowly pressed in a vice.
Now I'm gobbling advil and blowing my nose every 15 minutes. Blech. I had planned on hitting the GWNN Happy Hour at Lovejoy's tonight, but now I'm just going to go home and lay down (in between coughing fits, that is...). Hopefully I'll make it to Poly dinner tomorrow night...sigh....
UPDATE: remembered I had some Claritan squirreled away, decided to risk taking one (normally I avoid antihistamines like the plague because they can sometimes trigger me into a deep depression, but so far it doesn't seem a problem). Feeling somewhat better - the coughing has subsided a bit, so has the phlegm. Guess it works...
