Pithy Penny Thoughts

Just dropped a penny in the vending room. I watched it roll, spin, then settle down. As I usually do, I looked to see which way it was facing before picking it up. If it's face down, I pick it back up. If it's face up, though, I leave it. I'd heard once, if you find a penny face-up, it's good luck. So nowadays, if I drop a penny and it lands face-up, I leave it for the next person who comes along to find it. I'm not into the superstition myself, but for someone who is, finding that penny face-up may make them feel good - and that, I am definitely 'into'. My stealth good deed for the day.
